About Us

Woodland Hills Elementary School is a school where the children come first. All stakeholders are devoted to inspire and prepare students to become confident, independent learners who achieve at their highest academic levels, while developing personal values that contribute to their success. These values include nurturing a love of learning, stimulating creativity, cultivating physical, social and emotional health, and developing respect, integrity, empathy, and tolerance for others. Our students are committed to their role as responsible contributing members of society.

LAUSD E-Choices Window Opens October 1st-November 15th, 2024

The on-time Choices application will be available from October 1, 2024-November 15, 2024 at http://apply.lausd.net.

If you are interested in enrolling your child at WHECES but do not live within our attendance boundaries, click on the headline to learn about your options.

IMPORTANT: If your child is here on lottery AND has a sibling who wants to attend WHECES, you MUST apply to the lottery for that sibling. All siblings have priority but ONLY if they have an application in the system.

2025-2026 Enrollment for New Residents Starts in March 2025

The online pre-enrollment portal for the 2025-2026 school year will open March 24th. Families must complete the online pre-enrollment application on/after that date at enroll.lausd.net or by clicking on the "Enroll" button on the top-right corner of this page and upload the following:
1) Child's birth certificate
2) ** Child's up-to-date immunization record including doses (5 DTAP, 4 Polio, 3 HEP B, 2 MMR & 2 Varicella) ** We cannot process the application if there is a missing dose
3) Parent ID or Driver's license
4) Proof of address (recent gas/electric bill, mortgage statement, lease agreement)
5) Previous school's most recent report card and/or IEP, if applicable.

Our office staff will then contact you via email with next steps.

Woodland Hills Elementary School fosters the development of creative thinking, rigorous problem solving, respect for individual differences, and high ethical standards. Our arts integration instruction helps children with the development of motor skills, language skills, social skills, decision-making, risk-taking, and inventiveness. We prepare our students to be fully participating, international-minded citizens and leaders with twenty-first-century skills.
